The second iteration "chains the ladies back again," returning them to their original positions.

All four women step into the center of the square, putting all their right hands together.
Pivoting around the point where their hands join, they rotate clockwise until they are half-way across the square.
Each woman touches left hands with the man in front of her and the man performs a "courtesy turn" (see figure 3a).
Dancers are back in the starting square formation, but women have all rotated four positions around the square.
