ChordSymbol

I am happy to be able to report that version 1 of my ChordSymbol font works perfectly with Finale 97, due to improvements made by Coda Music Technology to the Lyrics Tool, the recommended entry method when using ChordSymbol. This means that the full power and versatility of ChordSymbol, which has the most complete set of analytical symbols of any available music analysis font, is now accessible in Finale, and hence the promise of ChordSymbol has finally been realized. It also means that I need not upgrade the font in the foreseeable future, since version 1 is virtually perfect as is. ChordSymbol users should instead simply be sure to upgrade to Finale 97.

For current ChordSymbol users, please feel free to contact me by e-mail if you would like tips on how to get the best results in using ChordSymbol with Finale. For prospective users, if you would like to receive a flyer containing font samples of both ChordSymbol, a symbol font, and CSTimes, its text-font variant, together with all necessary ordering information, please e-mail your full mailing address to me.
