Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Department of Music seeks an energetic, collaborative, and creative colleague who possesses the following characteristics, and a commitment to maintain continued growth in these directions: leadership in crafting, administering, and delivering an undergraduate music theory curriculum; commitment to teaching of undergraduates in a liberal arts setting; familiarity with computer technology, especially web-based modes of curriculum delivery; interest in collaborating with members of a team-oriented faculty on department-level concerns, such as curriculum development and recruitment; and potential for published scholarship in professional journals. Successful record of undergraduate teaching or perceived potential for success is essential. Department faculty members are typically expected to teach in multiple areas, and candidates are encouraged to identify secondary areas of expertise to which they might contribute.
