Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Music Theory

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Record of successful teaching in music theory to undergraduates and graduates. Record of scholarly achievement in music theory. Record of scholarship in music of the Common Practice.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate classes for music majors in the area of music theory; advise masters’ theses in music theory; engage in scholarly research and publication; help recruit masters’ students in music theory; serve on doctoral committees in composition, music education, and performance; and participate in the governance of the School of Music.
