Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Music Department in the School of Arts and Humanities at The College of Saint Rose invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Aural Skills position starting with the Fall 2014 semester. The successful candidateís responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in theory and aural skills; teaching graduate courses in related music theory/analysis fields; full participation in departmental meetings, and conducting entrance auditions. The selected candidate will also be expected to play a leadership role in curricular matters with regard to the departmentís core curriculum.

As a member of The College of Saint Rose faculty, the successful applicant is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies, participate in academic advising and program assessment, engage in performance, and serve the Collegeís communities through participation in Department, School, and College-wide committees.
