Position: Assistant or Associate Professor


Ph.D. degree in Music Theory required by the time of appointment. Also required: demonstrated ability to teach successfully and demonstrated scholarly achievement. The applicant must be fluent in keyboard harmony and have a research agenda focusing on Western art music of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Assistant/Associate Professors perform teaching, research and guidance duties. This position's primary responsibilities include teaching core undergraduate theory curriculum and graduate courses in music theory. The successful candidate will also share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
