Ph.D. in Music Theory, Ethnomusicology, or Musicology; ABD considered.
Applicants should have a successful record of university-level teaching experience.
Preference will be given to applicants who have the ability to cross boundaries of discipline, genre, geography, and/or history, and who can teach both canonical and non-canonical music theories.
We welcome candidates with growing research agendas that complement the strengths of Music Studies faculty.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The committee seeks engaging candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. Candidates must be prepared to teach courses in the Department of Music Studies, including any of the following: freshman and sophomore music theory and ear training, introductory world music survey, American music, and other classes for music majors and non-majors based upon the needs of the Department and qualifications of the candidate.
