The Faculty of Music, University of Toronto, invites applications for a full-time one-year CLTA (contractually limited term appointment) position with possibility of renewal, in Music Theory. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin July 1, 2013.

Qualifications:

Candidates specializing in any area of music theory will be considered. The committee especially encourages applications from candidates with expertise in post-tonal theory and analysis or in other areas that complement existing departmental strengths. A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of the appointment. Evidence of excellence in teaching and professional achievements is required.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and publication, and university service.

Salary Range: Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
