Position: Assistant / Associate Professor

General Information:

Nine month, full time, tenure track position to begin Fall, 2007. Teacher and performer of Jazz Studies.

Qualifications:

Terminal degree in the field of expertise (doctorate preferred) or equivalent professional experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching and an emerging or established reputation for scholarly and creative achievement. Doctorate preferred.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach courses in the Jazz Studies (e.g. Jazz History, Jazz Theory and Improvisation, Latin Jazz, Jazz Ensembles, Applied Private Lessons), and in cross-disciplinary courses in the college, including courses in ALANA U.S. Ethnic Studies.
