Position: Assistant/Associate/Professor and Coordinator of the MA in Music Leadership

Qualifications:

Requirements: Undergraduate degree in music and/or graduate degree in music, arts administration, business management/administration or related discipline, and significant high-level music leadership/arts administration career experience.

The ideal candidate will have an established career that exemplifies the combined dynamic of artistry and leadership, and is passionate about preparing future music leaders, creative and entrepreneurial thinkers, and committed artists in both traditional and non-traditional musical arts organizations. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and will have the ability to impart knowledge, collaborate, and work effectively with students and colleagues.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music seeks nominations and applications for the position of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (non-tenure eligible) in Music Leadership, beginning in Summer 2018.

The MA in Music Leadership degree program supports the development of a unique combination of artistic and executive skills in the preparation of music leaders and administrators.

Responsibilities: Teach core courses in areas such as governance and administration, financial management, and economics. Coordinate the degree program, including student advising and curriculum.
