Position: Visiting Assistant Professor

General Information:

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Music Theory (.75 Appointment). One-Year Position, Fall 2008 to Spring 2009

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Music Thheory.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching written music theory at the undergraduate level to music majors.
Demonstrated interest in teaching in a liberal arts environment.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach 3 sections (9 credit hours per semester) of first-year written music theory. Collaborate with departmental team regarding curriculum development and evaluation in the academic area (music theory, aural skills, and music history).

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience and rank
