Position: Professor of Music and Head, Conservatorium of Music

General Information:

Applications are invited for appointment to the tenured position of Professor of Music (academic level E) who will also take (for at least one term) the duties of Head of Conservatorium of Music located in Hobar, Tasmania, Australia.

Qualifications:

The successful appointee will bring to the Conservatorium academic distinction, entrepreneurial drive, professional expertise, enthusiasm for, and commitment to, excellence and growth, as well as capacity for collegiality and teamwork. S/he will lead the development and implementation of University and Faculty strategies aiming at excellence, distinction, growth and community engagement, and demonstrate leadership capacities combined with an outstanding academic record of research, teaching, industry-focused program development and professional practice. Demonstrated personal qualities necessary for effective relations within the Conservatorium and the Faculty, in the wider community, as well as across all sectors of the profession, are also essential.
