Position: Assistant Professor of Music Theory

Tenure Track.
Starting Date: August, 2013 (possible June appointment).

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in music theory or related area required. Must have an established record of successful college teaching experience.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Serve as Theory Coordinator for a large and diverse school of music. Teach undergraduate courses in music theory, aural skills, form and analysis, counterpoint and related areas. Graduate instruction including advanced functional and non-functional analysis, Schenker, and oversight of theses. Willingness to develop and deliver online classes required. Teach other courses subject to candidate

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
