Position: Choral / Theory

General Information:

Slippery Rock University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Choral/Theory position in the Music Department beginning August 2006.

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in music or ABD with completion date of August 2007 required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching and conducting sessions, is required. University teaching experience and the ability to use technology software in theory training preferred.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Coordinate both the undergraduate Choral and Music Theory programs, conducting the choral groups, and teaching undergraduate Music Theory, Aural Training and Vocal Conducting. Additional duties may include Applied Vocal Instruction.
