Position: Assistant Professor

General Information:

The School of Music, Queen’s University, invites applications for a three-year non renewable replacement appointment in music theory at the rank of Assistant Professor with a full range of responsibilities, including teaching, research, and service, effective August 1, 2006.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have a completed Ph.D. in music theory, and should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching as they will be expected to teach a range of courses in music theory, including tonal and chromatic harmony and analysis, advanced courses in counterpoint, and other upper-level courses in music theory topics. Experience in another area of music study will be regarded as an asset.

Salary Range: Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
