Institution: Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University

Position: Adjunct Auxilliary Professor of Music History and Music Theory

General Information:

The Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University seeks an exceptional pedagogue to teach Music History and Music Theory. This auxiliary adjunct appointment will begin August 16, 2014 through May 15, 2015.



Qualifications:

The applicant should hold a Ph.D. (ABD accepted) in either musicology or music theory. The successful candidate will possess the following: a demonstrated record of excellence in collegiate level teaching, with proven experience and expertise in undergraduate education; a marked interest in collaborating with a dynamic and diverse faculty and contributing to a performance-based and scholarly conservatory environment.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate or graduate courses in music history and theory with a preferred area of expertise in music after 1900. An additional teaching assignment may include world music in area of expertise. The candidate will teach a minimum of three courses per semester.
