Institution: The Boston Conservatory

Position: Professor of Music Theory and Composition

General Information:

Professor in Music Theory and Composition is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at The Boston Conservatory for the Academic Year September 2014 to May 2015, with the possibility of renewal.



Qualifications:

Successful teaching experience and a completed master of music degree are required, ABD or completed doctorate is preferred. Candidates should have an active composing career and be able to list recent professional performances of their music. Experience of working with digital media is strongly desired.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• undergraduate core courses in music theory and ear training
• upper level/graduate music theory courses, as needed
• private lessons for Composition majors
• one section of the Composition Seminar.


Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
