Position: Assistant Professor of Music Theory, tenure-track

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Music Theory received by 1 September 2015. In addition to exceptional promise as a scholar and teacher, the applicant should have solid training as a musician in order to teach talented musicians in a major school of the performing arts.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Maintain an active record of research and publication. Teach a full range of courses in music theory, including core and upper-level undergraduate courses, and graduate courses appropriate to the candidate's expertise; direct graduate research through independent studies and dissertation supervision. Perform service duties for the department, school, university and field of music theory.
