Position: Assistant Professor

Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Music Theory, beginning Fall 2015.

Qualifications:

PhD preferred but DMA and ABD also considered.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as of the expected hire date and throughout the date of the contract without sponsorship from The College of Idaho.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The College of Idaho invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Music Theory position, beginning Fall 2015. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment that encourages creativity, interdisciplinary thinking, and preparation for music making in the 21st Century. Teaching responsibilities will include music theory, aural skills, and some composition courses. Some knowledge and experience with digital recording is also desired. The teaching load is 3-3 with an additional course taught during the intensive January term.
