Position: Assistant Professor, Music Theory

General Information:

New tenure-track position in music theory. Appointment begins September 1, 2016.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in music theory. Demonstrated excellence in both theory and aural skills pedagogy. Record of, or potential for, significant scholarly contributions in the field of music theory.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach first-year and second-year music theory and aural skills, and upper-level theory electives. Contribute to the coordination and advancement of the core theory curriculum and the music theory major. Occasional teaching of Freshman Studies, an introduction to the liberal arts and sciences.

Salary Range: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
