Position: Assistant Professor

General Information:

The Ithaca College School of Music seeks a dynamic individual with a distinctive record as both a music theorist and a teacher of theory. This full-time, tenure-eligible position is at the rank of Assistant Professor and begins in fall 2016.

Qualifications:

Completed doctorate in music theory, demonstrably excellent full-time college teaching experience (at least one year beyond graduate assistant level), and potential for scholarship as evidenced by publications and/or conference presentations.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teaching duties will include undergraduate theory and analysis, twentieth century analysis, aural skills courses, possibly upper-level or graduate courses in analysis and counterpoint, or possibly courses for non-music majors.
