Job Description/Responsibilities:

Description: The Department of Music at Knox College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track music theorist at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2016. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in undergraduate music theory and aural skills teaching within a liberal arts environment, an active research and publication profile, and a commitment to service and teaching within a diverse community. All areas of specialization will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include instruction of the three-term music theory sequence, aural skills, and possibly advanced electives in music theory.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Music Theory or DMA in Music Composition preferred, ABD considered.
