Position: Lecturer (Part-Time)

General Information:

Lecturer (Part-Time) Position beginning January 2016.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Music Theory (ABD status will be considered) and teaching experience required. We seek candidates with broad interests in the relationship of music theory to other disciplines, with proven excellence in teaching and creative work, and with expertise in the teaching of tonal and post-tonal theories and analysis. The Music Department is comprehensive and inclusive, with substantial offerings in musicology, ethnomusicology, world music, composition, jazz, music technology, and performance.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Department of Music at Tufts University announces a part-time, one-semester position in Music Theory beginning in January 2016. The teaching responsibility will be the second required core theory course for music majors (Principles of Tonal Theory II).
