Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Department of Music at the University of Arkansas seeks applications for a tenure-track position in music theory at the rank of assistant professor. We are interested in candidates with a wide variety of specialties, but are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in areas of music theory that relate to jazz. The position will include teaching undergraduate and graduate music theory courses from among the department’s current offerings as well as in the candidate’s area of expertise. We seek candidates with a record of scholarly publication and ongoing research, who are also committed to excellent teaching, and are excited to contribute to the growth of this music department.
