Position: Lecturer

General Information:

The Music Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill solicits applications for a one-year lectureship in music theory, starting 1 July 2016.

Qualifications:

We expect applicants to have completed, or nearly completed, a PhD in music theory or a related field.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

The lecturer will have teaching responsibilities for six courses (3+3) during the academic year. Teaching assignments will include core undergraduate theory courses along with theory courses in the lecturer’s area of specialization; our undergraduate and graduate curricula allow for a range of teaching interests.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
