Qualifications:

A completed doctorate degree in composition, significant experience in conducting, and full-time college teaching experience are preferred.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Department of Music at Muhlenberg College seeks an outstanding Composer and Conductor for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate would be an effective, dedicated teacher with a record of success in composition, instrumental conducting, and music theory instruction.

Responsibilities will include: teaching lessons or classes in composition and the music theory sequence, conducting one large instrumental ensemble and coordinating the instrumental area. The position offers the opportunity to take full advantage of our our state-of-the art electronic music studio.

Salary Range: Competitive
