Position: Assistant or Associate Professor

Tenure-track position starting Fall, 2017

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in music theory or related area required. Must have an established record of successful college teaching experience.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Serve as Theory Coordinator for a large and diverse school of music. Graduate instruction including advanced functional and non-functional analysis, Schenker, and oversight of theses. Development and delivery of online graduate classes required. Teach other courses subject to candidate’s expertise and the needs of the School of Music. Faculty members are expected to be committed to professional development through scholarly and creative activities, as well as to seek out service opportunities within the school, college, university, and profession. Faculty members also are expected to embrace and maintain the spirit of collegiality that exists in the College of Fine Arts.

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
