Qualifications:

Demonstrated excellence and experience in college-level teaching of music theory and/or aural skills. A master’s degree in music theory or composition to be completed by December 15, 2017.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University invites applications for a temporary, full-time faculty position for the Spring semester of 2018.

Music theorist to teach four sections of core theory and aural skills courses. The anticipated course load is three sections of Music Theory II (chromatic harmony) and one section of Aural Skills II.

Salary Range: Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor of Music Theory. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
