Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate completed by August 2018; A record of effective teaching at the college level; The ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses; Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission;Experience with instructional technology; Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated distinction in research; A record of pedagogical excellence; Knowledge of current pedagogical trends; Strong administrative skills; Excellence in musicianship; Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Fredonia School of Music seeks a talented, collegial, and enthusiastic Lecturer in Music Theory. This is a full-time, one-year renewable appointment starting Fall 2018. The Fredonia School of Music is a thriving program with approximately 600 undergraduate and graduate students. We offer BM programs in Music Education, Performance, Composition, BS programs in Sound Recording Technology, Music Therapy and BFA in Music Theatre at the undergraduate level, and MM programs in Performance and Music Education.
