Position: Readership or Professorship

General Information:

Applications are invited for a Readership or Professorship in Music, specialising in one or more areas of historical or analytical musicology and tenable from 1st September 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a proven record of academic achievement in research, publication and teaching, and will be expected to play a full part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision (including a contribution to the core historical curriculum), to engage in research, publication and other research-related activities and to participate fully in the administration of the Department.

Salary Range: Readership: £35,933 p.a. to £48,211 p.a. inclusive of London Allowance.* Professorial minimum: £50,296 p.a. inclusive of London Allowance.*
